The Buying or
Selling of a home is one of the most important decisions you can make. Kathy
understands the financial and emotional process and she helps her clients
from beginning to end. Kathy is committed to a high level of professionalism
and adheres to a strict Code of Ethics.
Kathy and her husband, John, moved to Louisiana in
September 2001 from Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. John is a native of
Lafayette, and with their children grown, it was time to make a life change.
With 2 grandchildren in the Lafayette area and another on the way, moving was an
easy decision. The Benoits now live in Breaux Bridge.
Kathy has owned and managed several businesses in her
working career. She was employed in the Solid Waste field for approx. 20
years, first as the Office/operations Manager for BFI Waste Services and
after promotion, as the Site Manager. She has been a BeautiControl
Consultant since 1988.
Her community activities have included serving as a
Rotarian on Martha's Vineyard and membership in the Breaux Bridge Chamber of
Commerce. In Lafayette, Kathy is a member of the Realtor Association of
Acadiana, Louisiana Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. She
sings Lead with the Voice of Vermillion, a Sweet Adelines Barbershop Chorus,
and is active in Mardi Gras with the Mystic Krewe of the Renaissance. In
2002, she was honored as its Queen Isabella d' Estes VII. Her personal time
is devoted to John, her 4 grandchildren, her 2 Yorkies, gourmet cooking,
gardening, and travel.
Kathy acquired her real estate license, first, in
Massachusetts in 1982, and then her Louisiana license in February 2002.
Kathy shows lots of energy and dedication to her clients. Based upon her
clients' survey results, in her first year licensed in Louisiana, Kathy was
honored with the Quality Service Award from Century 21 International.
She was honored with the Relocation Specialist Designation, as the
result of her completed educational courses and closed production.
Since then, her business accomplishments have resulted
in many acknowledgements. Kathy was awarded Century 21's Silver Level
Associate award for 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004. In 2005 she was a Gold Level
Associate, and in 2006 she is Century 21 Gateway's #1 Top Producer. CENTURY
21 International honored her with the Master Agent Emerald Award. Kathy is a
member of the Century 21 Gateway's Pacesetter Club, which is based on her
outstanding production in listings, sales and closings.
